Personal property law
PCM Avocats' specialist team assists our private clients with personal property law matters at every stage of life: birth (child's name and property rights), childhood (protection of minors' assets), adulthood (prenuptial agreements, divorce settlements), end-of-life (estate planning, legal protection of adults and their assets).
Since its creation, PCM Avocats has built up a reputation as a highly respected provider of legal services in the field of personal property law. The firm has played an active role in negotiating some of the largest national and international estate settlements in the Principality of Monaco. It has also been closely involved in negotiating a large number of international final divorce settlements involving assets located in multiple different countries.
Our direct involvement in cases like these and many others, has enabled us to build up a unique wealth of experience in Monaco. In recognition of this experience, Christine Pasquier-Ciulla was invited to draft and update the Monegasque chapter of the EUROPEAN LAWYERS REFERENCE SERIES on Family Law, 2013 and 2015 editions.
We regularly assist and represent our clients in family litigation cases involving very significant assets, or in estate disputes.
This activity covers the following areas:
- Divorce settlements and their implications for assets, both in terms of compensatory benefit and liquidation of jointly-owned property;
- Estate disputes;
- Asset protection for legally incapacitated persons (minors or adults).
Finally, we also advise our clients in criminal or administrative proceedings.
PCM Avocats' expertise and reputation in the field of personal property law is built on the skill, knowledge and experience of the firm's lawyers and staff. Their international background and ability to work in multiple languages, together with their extensive network of specialist contacts in other countries, are all crucial advantages when it comes to international legal affairs.
